Terms of Service - Peerr
Welcome to Peerr, a professional network for health and life sciences. The Peerr website and service including (without limitation) all websites and other interactive properties through which the service is delivered (collectively, the 'Platform') are owned, operated and distributed by Peerr LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13421739 whose registered address at London, UK.
By accessing any part of the Service, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions described below (these "Terms of Service"), the terms and conditions of our privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") and any other legal notices published by us on the Service. If you do not agree to any of these terms, you should not use the Service and close your account.
These Terms of Service apply to all users and account holders (see definitions of terms below for breakdown), including both users who are simply viewing content available via the platform and users who have registered as members of Peerr.
We may, at our sole discretion, modify these Terms of Service at any time. By accessing the Service at any time after such modifications, you are agreeing to such modifications. These Terms of Service were last modified as of January, 2025.
Description of Service
The Peerr service allows users to connect and collaborate with other professionals, institutions and organisations in health and life sciences. To monetise insights, experience and expertise through the sharing of content and services in line with Peerr. To discover the latest opportunities from jobs, speaking engagements, advisory roles and research.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide the Service to any person for any reason and/or to discontinue the Service in whole or in part at any time, with or without prior notice.
Copyright, Licenses and User Submissions
The entire contents of Peerr are protected by copyright and trademark laws and other proprietary rights. The owners of the copyrights and trademarks are Peerr LTD, its affiliates and/or other third party licensors. You may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute, in any manner, the material on the service, including text, graphics, code and/or software. You may not share any material that you paid for with anyone else who has not also purchased a subscription for that material.
You may not use any processes or products/services for data mining, data gathering or extraction tools or manual processes to collect, gather or copy any content or data on or related to the Service in a manner not authorized by Peerr in writing. You may not engage in practices of "screen scraping," "database scraping" or any other practice or activity the purpose of which is to obtain lists of users, portions of a database, or other lists or information from Peerr, in any manner and any quantities not authorized by Peerr in writing.
Content submitted by users for inclusion on Peerr whether or not any User Submission is published, it will be subject to these Terms of Service. Peerr does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to a User Submission, regardless of whether or not it is published. You are solely responsible for your own User Submissions and the consequences of posting or publishing them. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents and permissions to your User Submissions (and all content included therein), including the right to authorize Peerr to use the User Submissions in the manner contemplated by the Service and these Terms of Service.
Peerr does not claim any ownership rights in user content submitted. After uploading your User Content to this platform, you continue to retain all ownership rights in such user content and you continue to have the right to use your user content in any way you choose.
You hereby grant to Peerr a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license, with the right to, to reproduce, distribute, transmit, create derivative works of, publicly display and publicly perform any User Submissions or any other materials or information (including, without limitation, ideas for new or improved products or services) you communicate to Peerr by all means and in any media now known or hereafter developed. You also grant to Peerr the right to use your name in connection with the submitted materials and other information as well as in connection with all advertising, marketing and promotional material related thereto. You agree that you shall have no recourse against Peerr for any alleged or actual infringement or misappropriation of any proprietary right in your communications to Peerr.
Peerr does not endorse nor assume any liability for the contents of any user submission. We generally do not pre-screen, monitor, or edit user submissions. However, we have the right to remove any user submission or other content that, in our judgment, does not comply with these Terms of Service or is otherwise harmful, objectionable, misleading, malicious or inaccurate. We are not responsible for any failure or delay in removing any such user submission or other content. You hereby consent to such removal and waive any claim against us arising out of such removal of any user submission, whether it is your own or another user's.
Copyright Infringement
Peerr will implement the following policy toward copyright infringement. We reserve the right to block access to or remove material that we believe in good faith to be copyrighted material that has been illegally copied and distributed by any of our content providers or users and remove and discontinue service to repeat offenders.
If you believe that material or content exist on or accessible through Peerr infringes your copyright (or the copyright of someone whom you are authorized to act on behalf of), please send a notice of copyright infringement containing the following information to hello@peerr.io
Upon receipt of a proper notice of copyright infringement, we reserve the right to: Remove or disable access to the infringing material; notify the user who is accused of infringement that we have removed or disabled access to the applicable material; and terminate such content provider's access to the platform if he or she is a repeat offender.
User Account Terms
The following terms apply to your use of the platform and any account that you may open or attempt to open on Peerr:
You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under age 18, you may not, under any circumstances or for any reason, use the platform. You must be a human to open an account. Accounts registered by "bots" or other automated methods are not permitted. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. We view any actions taken by your account as taken by you. Peerr will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
Users are account holders. You agree to: (1) protect against wrongful access to your account (e.g., use a strong password and keep it confidential); (2) not share or transfer your account or any part of it (e.g., sell or transfer the personal data of others by transferring your connections); and (3) follow the law. You are responsible for anything that happens through your account unless you close it or report misuse.
As between you and others (including your employer), your account belongs to you. However, if the Services were purchased by another party for you to use (e.g., Company paying for employees or subscriptions bought by your employer), the party paying for such Service has the right to control access to and get reports on your use of such paid Service; however, they do not have rights to your personal account.
Notices and Messages
You agree that we will provide notices and messages to you in the following ways: (1) within the platform or (2) sent to the contact information you provided us (e.g., email address). You agree to keep your contact information up to date.
Sharing
Our platform allows sharing of information (including content) in many ways, such as through your profile, posts, articles, group posts, links to news articles, job postings and messages. Depending on the feature and choices you make, information that you share may be seen by other users. Where we have made settings available, we will honor the choices you make about who can see content or other information (e.g., message content to your addressees, sharing content only to HCPs, restricting your profile visibility from search tools). For job searching activities, we default to not notifying other users or the public. So, if you apply for a job through our platform or opt to signal that you are interested in a job, our default is to share it only with the job poster.
To the extent that laws allow this, we are not obligated to publish any content or other information on our platform and can remove it with or without notice.
Altering Fees
We reserve the right, at any time, to change any fees or charges for using any services provided on Peerr or to begin charging fees for any free service.
User Rights and Limits
Peerr is an active community of professionals, companies, organisations and institutions.
When you register on Peerr, you agree to the following rules:
You will use the platform only for lawful purposes and agree to not use it in any way that will infringe upon the use or rights of any other user. Your use of the platform is subject to all applicable laws and regulations, and you are solely responsible for the substance of your communications through the platform.
You will not upload any copyrighted, trademarked, or proprietary materials on the platform without the expressed permission of the owner. You will not post any content that infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, or other intellectual property or proprietary right of any party.
You assume full responsibility for the content shared or posted on the platform through your account.
You understand that content posted is publicly available to be viewed and accessed by any other user unless restrictions have been placed i.e content only accessible by healthcare professionals. You will not share content from the platform with anyone who is not properly licensed to access the content. You will not upload, share, post, distribute or otherwise partake in any behaviour that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libellous, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another's privacy, tortious, contains explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of sexual acts (including but not limited to sexual language of a violent or threatening nature directed at another individual or group of individuals), or otherwise violates our rules or policies. You will not partake in any behaviour that victimizes, harasses, degrades, or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, or disability. You will not share software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs that are designed or intended to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment or to damage or obtain unauthorized access to any data or other information of any third party. You will not impersonate any person or entity, including any of our ambassadors or representatives. You will not use your account to breach security of another account or attempt to gain unauthorized access to another network or server.
Not all parts of the platform may be available to you or other authorized users of the platform. You shall not interfere with anyone else's use and enjoyment of the platform. Users who violate systems or network security may incur criminal or civil liability.
Additional user obligations:
not to knowingly or recklessly contravene, in the course of using this platform, the provisions of any legal or regulatory requirements of any competent authority having jurisdiction over you or over any activity you undertake;
not to use this platform to make unauthorised attempts to access any of our systems or third-party networks;
not to use this platform to conduct any business or activity or solicit the performance of any activity that is prohibited by law;
not to use this platform for the transmission or posting of any material which is defamatory, offensive or of an abusive or obscene or menacing nature or which infringes third party rights, or for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to any third party, or send any message which you know to be false or make use of this website for such purpose(s);
not to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, rent, lease, loan, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the platform or the Content. The use of any network monitoring or discovery software to determine the website architecture, or extract information about usage, individual identities or users is prohibited;
not to use any robot, spider, other automatic software or device, or manual process to monitor or copy our website or the Content without our prior written permission;
not to access all or any part of the Content in order to build a product or service which competes with the platform;
not to copy, modify, duplicate, reproduce, republish, distribute, display, or transmit for commercial, non-profit or public purposes all or any portion of the platform or any Content, except to the extent permitted above;
not to access, store, distribute or transmit any viruses, or any material when using the website that: is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, infringing, harassing or racially or ethnically offensive; facilitates illegal activity; depicts sexually explicit images; promotes unlawful violence; is discriminatory based on race, gender, colour, religious belief, sexual orientation, disability; or is otherwise illegal or causes damage or injury to any person or property;
to inform us immediately of any claim or action against you for any use of this platform and, on request from us, to immediately cease the act complained of.
Users Content Rights and Limits
When you publish any content on the platform, you agree to the following rules:
You grant us the right to advertise your content at our sole discretion.
Any content you submit to the platform will not contain third party copyrighted material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights, unless you have permission from the rightful owner of the material or content that does not violate the law or anyone's rights (including intellectual property rights).
Peerr may be required by law to remove certain content and other information in certain countries.
You represent and warrant to Peerr that you are well placed to share the content that you list with the platform and that you will at all times conduct yourself in a professional manner and in compliance with all applicable laws.
You own your original content that you submit or post to the platform.
You may choose to remove your content.
You agree that you will not submit any content to Peerr that violates the platforms terms or guidelines, which may be occasionally updated.
We may access, store, process, and use any information (including content and/or personal data) that you provide in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Policy and your choices (including settings).
By submitting suggestions or other feedback regarding our platform, you agree that Peerr can use and share (but does not have to) such feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
Peerr reserves the right to, but is under no obligation, to delete any content at any time and for any reason without any notice.
Rights and Limitations for Students and Consumers
When you register on the platform, you agree to the following rules:
You will accept all of the terms and conditions including the cancellation policy listed when you agree to register or access content on Peerr. You may access content for your learning and personal use only. You will not copy any content for purposes of your own or other users.
Peerr reserves the right to delete or suspend your account if you violate any of our rules, or at any time and for any reason without any notice.
Other content
By using the platform, you may encounter content or other information that might be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading, illegal, offensive, or otherwise harmful. You agree that we are not responsible for content or other information made available through or within the platform by others, including users. While we apply tools to review much of the content and other information presented in the platform, we cannot always prevent misuse of our platform, and you agree that we are not responsible for any such misuse. You also acknowledge the risk that others may share inaccurate or misleading information about you or your organisation, and that you or your organisation may be mistakenly associated with content about others.
Peerr may help connect you to other users who offer you opportunities (on behalf of themselves, their organisations, or others) such as offers to become a candidate for employment or other work or offers to purchase products or services. You acknowledge that Peerr does not perform these offered services, employ those who perform these services, or provide these offered products.
Recommendations and Automated Processing
We use the data and other information that you provide and that we have about users and content on the platform to make recommendations for connections, content, ads, and features that may be useful to you. We use that data and other information to recommend and to present information to you in an order that may be more relevant for you. For example, that data and information may be used to recommend jobs to you and you to recruiters and to organize content in your feed in order to optimise your experience and use of the platform. Keeping your profile accurate and up to date helps us to make these recommendations more accurate and relevant.
Generative AI Features: By using the platform, you may interact with features we offer that automate content generation for you. The content that is generated might be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misleading or not suitable for your purposes. Please review and edit such content before sharing with others. Like all content you share on our platform, you are responsible for ensuring it complies with our policies including not sharing misleading information.
The platform may include content automatically generated and shared using tools offered by Peerr. Like all content and other information on our platform, regardless of whether it's labeled as created by "AI", be sure to carefully review before relying on it.
Data Policy
When a user consumes content on Peerr, we will share the consumer's username and profile with the creator. By engaging with any content on Peerr, a user grants us permission to share that users information with the creator. The consumer is required to respect the privacy of the creator. The creator may not use that personal information to send unsolicited commercial messages or unauthorized transactions.
Advertising and Promotional Content
Peerr may show you promotional content including images, articles, quizzes, courses, videos, podcasts, webinars and any other modality alongside sharing offers, discounts, branded content sharing the details or information from our partners and companies including pharmaceutical/biotech and medical device companies.
Any promoted content will be clearly identified and shown as either 'sponsored', 'promoted' or any other terms to reflect this and where required will only be shown to a select group of users such as 'Only intended for healthcare professionals'.
Promoted content helps support our creators and grow the platform.

User Subscription Fees
Peerr collects all subscription fees and pays out all creators through third party providers. Each educator is its own company, and Peerr isn't responsible for its performance.
Fees for Premium/Pro Membership or any other service on the platform may be changed at any time without prior notice.
Payment Processing
Payment processing services for Educators and Learners on Peerr are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a user on Peerr, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Peerr enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Peerr accurate and complete information about you, and you authorize Peerr to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe. Educator Payments Educators may earn revenue by publishing content on Peerr.
To qualify for payments each month, each educator must have at least 30 questions published. Peerr will aim to pay educators on the last working day of the month for the previous months earnings (eg. Payments for all revenue for October will be paid on the last working day of November). Payments sent on the last working day of each month are for earnings that have occurred in the previous calendar month. There may be delays to processing payments for creators but all efforts will be made to do so promptly.
Creator Payments
Videos: To be updated on roll out of the earning programme.
Articles: To be updated on roll out of the earning programme.
Quizzes:
Creators may earn revenue by publishing quizzes on Peerr. To qualify for payments each month, each educator must have at least 30 questions published.
Peerr will pay educators on the last working day of the month for the previous months earnings (eg. Payments for all revenue for October will be paid on the last working day of November). Payments sent on the last working day of each month are for earnings that have occurred in the previous calendar month.
Monthly payments begin the month following the month in which an educator publishes more than 30 questions.
Peerr distributes at least 33% of its monthly recurring revenue from Premium Membership to educators on a monthly basis. The algorithm used to determine your monthly share is based primarily on your share of the total number of questions attempted on the platform by Peerr Pro users. The specifics of the distribution calculation are subject to change from time to time.
Educators have 30 days from the time at which a payment was or should have been made to report any discrepancies. After 30 days, you have waived your right to dispute any payment.
Educators and learners agree that Peerr's sole responsibility is to process payments and pay out educators in the proportions set forth above. Peerr is not party to any transaction between any learner and/or educator and cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from any such transaction.
Educators are responsible for all income, sales, and other taxes associated with the revenue they earn.
Peerr reserves the right to withhold or cancel payments to educators if it deems, in its sole judgement and absolute discretion, that the educator engaged in behaviour that violated any part of this Agreement.
Cancellations and Refunds
Peerr is not responsible or liable for any refunds for Premium Membership or other purchases on the platform.
Peerr Premium Subscription
You may participate in our "Peerr Premium Membership" by subscribing to pay monthly or annual membership fees for access to all quizzes.
Recurring Billing
The membership fee will be billed on the beginning of the paying portion of your membership and each month or year thereafter unless and until you cancel your membership. We automatically bill your Payment Method each month on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your paying membership. We reserve the right to change the timing of our billing, in particular, as indicated below, if your Payment Method has not successfully settled. In the event your paying membership began on a day not contained in a given month, we may bill your Payment Method on a day in the applicable month or such other day as we deem appropriate.
Payments are nonrefundable and there are no refund or credits for partially used periods. Following any cancellation, however, you will continue to have the benefits of your Peerr subscription through the end of your current billing period.
Cancellations
You may cancel your Peerr Premium Membership at any time for any or no reason. To cancel your recurring subscription, please visit your account settings within your Peerr account profile. If you have cancelled your Peerr Membership, you will lose access to all Premium features and unlimited access to quizzes during your Membership at the end of your billing period. If you choose to sign back up as a paying member, your billing date will reset to the day you paid.

Free Subscription Plan
Users can subscribe for the free (Basic) plan, to attempt a total number of any 3 quizzes on the platform per month. Peerr reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to determine your eligibility for a free/basic plan, and, subject to applicable laws, to withdraw or to modify a plan at any time without prior notice and with no liability, to the greatest extent permitted under the law.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to adjust pricing for our platform, or any components thereof in any manner and at any time as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion. Except as otherwise expressly provided for in these Terms of Use, any price changes to your service will take effect following email notice to you.
Peerr Creator Fund programme (subject to change)
Monetisation policy
Minimum eligibility criteria:
1. Must have a valid PayPal or UK bank account to receive payments
2. Have no guideline strikes against your profile due to violation of Peerr T&Cs
And either
3. Have more than 100,000 Unique* article views and 10,000 minutes of read time
Or
4. Have more than 500 Unique ** Quiz completions
Once you have met the criteria your profile will be in the queue to be reviewed by the Peerr Team, if it does not violate any of the T&Cs and is in line with the platform ethos you will be invited to join. Please note we are currently working on a widget for your dashboards that will allow you to see your analytics to monitor how close you are to the minimum eligibility criteria. At this moment, we the Peerr team will be doing it ourselves.
If you are accepted: Congratulations, you will now be able to earn from our Peerr Creator Fund.
If you are rejected from the Creator Fund, you will receive an email with advice on recommended actions you can take to increase your chance of becoming eligible.
Note: If your profile becomes inactive with no uploads for 6 months or more, Peerr reserves the right to remove the profile from the Creator Fund.
*Valid article view: This is defined as authentic unique readers. Peerr does not recognise: a) the same user repeatedly viewing an article b) Traffic/Views as a result of spam or bots and c) we do not recognise the author/creator as a unique reader
**Valid quiz completion: This is defined as authentic unique attempts. Peerr does not recognise the creator completing their own quiz as valid completion, b) we do not recognise a single user completing the same quiz more than once within a 1 hour time frame, beyond 60 minutes we do recognise it as a second completion, c) we do not recognise completions as a result of spam or bots, and d) we do not recognise users who only open the quiz without attempting any questions as a valid completion.
Peerr Platform Rights
Peerr reserves these rights:
We can make changes to the Peerr platform without notice or liability.
We have the right to terminate your membership, account, payment, or other affiliation with the platform at any time and for any reason. We can change our eligibility criteria at any time. If these things are prohibited by law where you live, then we revoke your right to use Peerr in that jurisdiction.
We will cooperate fully with investigations of violations of systems or network security at other sites, including cooperating with law enforcement authorities in investigating suspected criminal violations.
Peerr reserves the right to remove any content including quizzes, videos, posts, podcast, webinars or articles that is not in line or goes against the principles of the platform, as per our discretion without any notice.
Peerr is not liable for any damages as a result of any of these actions, and it is our policy not to comment on the reasons for any such action.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Content available through the platform or presented in posts, videos, articles, webinars etc represents the opinions and judgments of an information provider, user, or other person or entity not connected with us. We do not endorse, nor are we responsible for the accuracy or reliability of, any opinion, advice, or statement made by anyone other than an authorized Peerr spokesperson speaking in his/her official capacity.
Peerr is not responsible or liable for any information on its platform listings or profiles or content offered directly by the account holder. Peerr is not responsible for any changes made to content by the account holder.
You understand and agree that temporary interruptions of the platform may occur as normal events. You further understand and agree that we have no control over third party networks you may access in the course of the use of the platform, and therefore, delays and disruption of other network transmissions are completely beyond our control.
You understand and agree that the platform is provided "AS IS" and that we assume no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery or failure to store any user communications or personalisation settings.
Liability
In no event shall Peerr be liable to you or any third party for any special, punitive, incidental, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, those resulting from loss of use, data or profits, whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages, and on any theory of liability, arising out of or in connection with the use of the platform.
Miscellaneous
Peerr will try to take reasonable care to ensure the accuracy of information on this platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law the content and information displayed on Peerr is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to the correctness, accuracy, reliability, usefulness or otherwise of information provided.
Medical knowledge is constantly evolving and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Peerr does not accept any responsibility or legal liability for any errors or the misuse or misapplication of content on the platform.
Definition of Terms
Glossary of Terms for Peerr's Terms and Conditions / Privacy Policy
The following terms are defined to ensure clarity and consistency throughout Peerr's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. These definitions apply to all uses of the terms within the context of Peerr's platform, services, and agreements.
User
The term "User" refers to any individual or entity that holds an account on Peerr. Users may engage with the platform in various capacities, including but not limited to publishing content, consuming content, and interacting with other Users. All Users are subject to Peerr's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Creator
A "Creator" is any User who publishes any content on Peerr. Content may include videos, articles, podcasts, webinars, posts, or other forms of media. Creators are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and originality of the content they share on the platform. Creators may also engage in monetization opportunities as outlined in Peerr's policies.
Learner
A "Learner" is a User who primarily engages with Peerr by consuming content published by Creators. Learners may participate in discussions, leave feedback, and utilise Peerr's tools to enhance their knowledge and professional development within the health and life sciences sectors.
Educator
An "Educator" is a specific type of Creator who shares educational content on Peerr, particularly aimed at enhancing the professional knowledge of Learners. Educators may include healthcare professionals, researchers, academic institutions, and other subject matter experts. For the purposes of Peerr's policies, the term "Educator" is synonymous with "Creator."
Account Holder
An "Account Holder" is any individual or entity that has registered an account on Peerr. Account Holders may use the platform in various roles, including as a Creator, Learner, general User or company/organisation/institution. Account Holders are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and complying with Peerr's policies.
Content
"Content" refers to any form of media or information shared on Peerr by a User, including but not limited to videos, articles, podcasts, webinars, posts, comments, and other user-generated content. Peerr reserves the right to monitor, review, and, where necessary, remove Content that violates the platform's guidelines or applicable laws.
These definitions are provided to ensure all parties understand their rights and obligations when engaging with Peerr's platform. Peerr may update these definitions as necessary to reflect changes to the platform's features or legal requirements.
